Matt took care of my dog overnight while I was staying in a hotel nearby. He was friendly and had a cool house with a lot of stairs (so may be best for younger dogs). Would book again.

Safety, trust & environment

At my home or client's home, safety, trust, and environment are always top of mind when caring for pets. I prioritize creating a safe and secure environment where pets feel comfortable and at ease. Whether it's my own home or a client's home, I ensure that all hazards are removed, and any potential dangers are addressed to avoid accidents or injuries. I understand the importance of building trust with both pets and their owners. I take the time to get to know each pet's unique needs and personality, and I communicate regularly with their owners to keep them informed about their pet's wellbeing. Trust is built through consistent, reliable care, and I strive to provide just that. When it comes to the environment, I believe that pets should have access to fresh air, sunlight, and exercise. If I'm caring for a pet in my own home, I ensure that they have access to a secure outdoor space where they can run and play. If I'm caring for a pet in their own home, I take advantage of any nearby parks or walking paths to ensure they get plenty of exercise and fresh air. Ultimately, my goal is to provide the best possible care for pets in a safe, trusting, and enjoyable environment. Whether it's a walk around the block, a trip to the park, or just some cuddle time on the couch, I always prioritize the well-being and happiness of the pets in my care.

A typical day

A typical day for me when caring for dogs involves plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. Depending on the specific needs and preferences of the dogs in my care, a typical day may look something like this: Morning walk: I like to start the day with a brisk walk to help dogs burn off some energy and get their blood pumping. Depending on the location, we may explore a local park, walking trail, or even just a quiet residential street. Breakfast and downtime: After the morning walk, it's time for breakfast and some quiet downtime. I ensure that each dog has a comfortable and safe space to relax and rest after their exercise. Playtime and training: Once the dogs have had a chance to rest and digest, it's time for some playtime and training. This may involve interactive games like fetch or tug-of-war, as well as training exercises to reinforce basic commands and good behavior. Afternoon walk or outing: In the afternoon, we may go on another walk or outing to explore a new area or try a different activity. This could include a trip to the beach, a visit to a dog-friendly café, or a hike in the mountains. Dinner and downtime: Just like in the morning, dinner is followed by some quiet downtime to help dogs digest and relax. Evening play and snuggles: In the evening, we may have some more playtime or snuggles on the couch to wind down for the day. Overall, my goal is to provide a fun, engaging, and safe environment for dogs to thrive. Whether we're exploring new places or just cuddling on the couch, I strive to create an experience that dogs will love and look forward to each day.
