4 parks within walking distance!

Pet care experience

NOTE: I always require a Meet & Greet before accepting new clients. For this reason, I am no longer accepting same day/last minute requests. Thank you for understanding! Before moving to Chicago, I worked for a reputable dog walking service in Minneapolis and volunteered at the Anti-Cruelty Society. I have professional training and hands-on experience providing daytime, evening, and overnight pet care including walks, meals, water refills, medications, and lots of tummy rubs! My personal experience includes raising a German Shephard, two Collies, and a Dachshund from pups; each have led long happy lives full of lengthy walks and tummy rubs. As a former doggy foster parent, I've hosted dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, etc.

Matt is the best! I’ve been using him to dogs sit for my dog for well over a year now. He is so good with my dog Charlie. Charlie is always so excited to see him. Matt is also very flexible with scheduling and very professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone! He is the best!

Matt was great! He sent daily updates and took good care of my pup for the weekend. Very satisfied and will definitely be boarding my pup with him again!

Safety, trust & environment

I live steps away from beautiful Armor Square Park and walking distance from several others. We typically take 4 walks each day; morning, afternoon, evening, and before bedtime. I do not require crate training, but my apartment has plenty of space to accommodate your crate in case your furry friend would prefer to have their own private space.

Information Matt C. would like to know about your pet

1.) Please confirm that your dog is up-to-date with his/her shots, flea and tick control, and has been spayed or neutered. 2.) Does your pup have any medical issues or special needs? 3.) Has your doggo had any trouble with excessive barking, destructive tendencies, or other behavioral issues? (Generally, I do not accept dogs who have displayed aggressive behavior. Safety is my number one priority!) 4.) My spacious 3 bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor; I'll need to know if your pooch needs to be carried or has any trouble with stairs. 5.) Has your pup enjoyed boarding with other dogs in the past? Your answers will help me create a fun and comfortable stay for your dog!

A typical day

Dogs who board with me can choose between 4 nearby parks, one of them is right across the street! Does your pupper like to play fetch? With your approval, there's a dog park within walking distance where your good boy/girl can play and socialize with other pups. Does your doggo enjoy music? We can hang out on the patio and I'll serenade your pooch with my ukulele. NOTE: We recently adopted our foster dog, Finnegan. Unfortunately, his advanced age is starting to slow him down a bit. He might not be the best playmate if you have a high-energy pup. Finn prefers more of a calm, laid back atmosphere.

Does your furry buddy need some exercise? I'm a dependable, fun-loving, experienced dog walker and pet sitter at your service!!! I live only 2 blocks from Illinois Tech, where I'm working on my Masters degree. Since I'm home studying for most of the day, your doggo shouldn't be alone for more than a few hours (during my lectures). I'm available full-time to give your pup the love and attention he/she deserves!
