I have had three miniature Schnauzers as pets (and friends) in a loving household. The first, Piccolo, was a sweetheart. Next was Shadow, who lived to a great age of 15. Currently, we have Flash who is three and always acts like a puppy. As a friend of all animals, especially dogs, I always do my very best and give my all to my current Schnauzer, Flash. As I am writing this, I have been taking care of my Flash after a surgery. He was not allowed to hop up or down off furniture or go up/down stairs after the surgery. I did not want him to be nervous or scared after, so I made a dog proof room with blankets, his bed, and toys just for him. Gave him his medications (pill and oral medicine - three times a day, on time). I stayed there with him every day and night in a sleeping bag on the floor for the last two weeks. I wanted to make sure he knew that he was going to make a good recovery (and he did!). I have worked at Senecca Hill Animal Hospital and Resort in Great Falls taking care of all sorts of dogs and puppies on the resort side. My jobs were to take care of the dogs, feed them, walk them, play with them, and most importantly give them the love and attention that they deserved while boarding. Boarding can be tough for some pets while their owners are away, so it's especially important to make sure they know they are loved and taken care of. When owners come back to pick up their family members and see that they are happy, they know their pets were well taken care of.
