I am a veterinary technician currently working at a local animal clinic in Boca Raton. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2017. My next step is to pursue a graduate degree in Veterinary Medicine. I am looking to add a little more to my resume for graduate school and make some money on the side to support myself doing what I love best. I can offer the medical training, knowledge and experience that your average pet sitter does not. I have been volunteering with animals of all species since I was 12 years old and professionally working with them for 7 years now. I love everything and anything about animals, it is truly my passion to be around them everyday of my life. I began my animal experience by pet sitting for family friends and neighbors I had known and grown up around. Then I started volunteering with animals at the age of 11 and volunteered at numerous societies until the age of 20. Societies include Animal Aid, Horses and the Handicapped and the Florida Humane Society. As soon as I was of legal age to work and had my own car, I worked my way into the animal field any way I could. I worked at PetSmart and from there I got a job at an animal clinic. Why I love dog sitting I have not just been a dog lover but also an animal lover of all species from since I was very little. I did everything I could to be around them. My experience administering medication As a veterinary technician I have been properly trained on how to safely administer medications to animals whether it is oral or injectable, I am comfortable with administering both. Along with providing any other additional special care instructions

I recommend Matia with all of my heart! She is the most responsible person with whom I could leave my beautiful pets. She cares for them truly as if they were her own. If one is sick, she will spend time with me on the phone discussing what to do and being a support for me so that I am not alone with any problems. She is also so capable. As a vet tech, she understands what is happening with them in ways that I would not have noticed. She is also just a completely lovely person! She is always patient as I figure out my dates and sort out what I need. And if I ever forget to have enough of something, she just goes out and gets it. She is that kind of person. Anyone would be lucky to have her sit for their pets.
Matia did an excellent job taking care of our girls. This was our first time booking with her to look after Maple and Toffee and everything went smoothly. When she came to drop off the keys, she asked us how she did and how she could better tailor her services, which was greatly appreciated. Both Maple and Toffee trusted her easily. Sometimes after a trip the girls are a little mad at us, but since they were not this time, we know they were in good hands. We would definitely recommend Matia’s services to others!

Matia was great! She was very confident & comfortable from the start with our German Shepard. She sent us updates with pictures while we were gone. Our baby seemed very happy & content when we arrived home. We would definitely recommend Matia!

I do not have any breed preferences, but I would like to know about any special needs they may have. I love to know all about your dog's personality! As a veterinary technician, I can provide special methods to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible while you are away. I would also like to know any other details like food or environmental allergies, their daily routine, likes/dislikes and any triggers to any problem behaviors.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog A minimum of 30 minutes to however long it takes, I love being around them and having their company. Whatever, the owners needs are I will meet. I make sure to play with your pet, make sure they are fed, given fresh water and/or changing any towels/blankets/pee-pads. Extra house-sitting services Yes I would be more than happy to, i can bring in mail, take out trash, i also wash any bed sheets i sleep on if i am asked to do overnights. Anything else additional can be discussed on the meet & greet.
