Former military animal lover!
Pet care experience
I have grown up with animals my entire life. Throughout my childhood we had dogs, goats, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and horses. I have recently left the US military to pursue a college degree. I have joined Rover as a sitter to help supplement my income during this transition. I have a strong passion for animals of all kinds. At home I have three cats and two small dogs, one who is special needs and one who is dog reactive. I can administer medications and basic first aid. I have experience working with military working dogs, exotic birds, and for a time owned a horse. I look forward to meeting all kinds of new animal friends and giving them the love and attention they need while their hoomans are away.

Mathew has been regularly walking our two pugs since we moved to Monroe in April. He has done a great job with our dogs and is very reliable. It's so nice to know our dogs are in good hands while we're at work.
We've used Mat for drop in visits and short walks when needed. He's very good with both our cats and our puppy. Our cat Tango always loves getting spoiled by Mat when he visits. We trust Mat with transporting our puppy from daycare to home when we're unable to get home in time. He's very dependable and takes great care of our animals as if they were his own.
Mat is wonderful with our animals. He is patient with our dog reactive dog as well as with our senior dog who has suffered an IVDD injury. He has had a menagerie of animals in his life and experience in caring for them. His family are huge supporters of local shelters and rescues who help find animals of all kinds new safe homes. He is a true animal lover and will show your pets the same care and love as he does our own.

During our meet and greet I like to learn about the dog's needs (medication, training etc.), their personality, preferences, and anything to particularly avoid with your dog (reactive tendencies etc.). I want to make our time together as enjoyable and stress free on them as possible.
A typical day
Your dogs can be taken for neighborhood walks, or to a park to enjoy some exercise and outdoors. I can also reinforce any training that you're working on with the dog as needed during our time together. I also like to play with them through fetch, or chase games.
