Pet care experience
I have owned 3 big shelter dogs and 1 small stray dog for 20 years. Even as a child I have had a strong love for animals. My friends call me the "dog whisperer" because when out in public other people's dogs seem to gravitate towards me. I strongly believe animals have an innate knowledge of who likes them and likewise, who doesn't. I have taken classes on manners & reactive dogs as well as many workshops. In the past, before becoming a host with "Rover" I have taken care of several friends dogs both at their home as well as mine. Lately, I often "corral" neighbors dogs that have gotten loose (unbeknownst to the owners) and send them back home. I will love interacting with your dog, having them follow me around the house and most of all, going on walks because it is always an adventure--for both of us! Your dog will have the run of my house and may sleep next to me on their bed. I have a large and interesting fenced backyard with various gardens to poke around in. There is plenty of room for playing ball and tag if your dog so chooses. Usually I am outside in the yard much of the day because I garden even in November & early December. The exception is on very hot days when I restrict time outside to 10-15 minutes so the dogs don't get overheated.

Marylee is excellent! I am sure my Thomas loves being with her! I was in daily contact with her to know about him! Marylee is super detail oriented, she takes care of everything to make him feel at home. I am very grateful to her. Thomas is a bit of a nervous dog, but she made sure everything was perfect! We will definitely visit Marylee again in the future. Thank you!!!
Marylee is a wonderful sitter who treated my dog like a queen! I highly recommend her.
Marylee (and her husband) were amazing!! I pick Rover people based on if I would want to stay with them lol!! At the meet and greet she was very thorough with her questions about the cat and dog and making sure all their needs were met. It felt like she has an understanding about the types of issues that could arise and how to deal with them. Very organized. Very attentive, warm loving people. I was sent updates and photos throughout my time away. Her yard is crazy big and beautiful and fenced in. My dog LOVED it! She was able to accommodate my daughter’s cat at the same time last minute. I felt so secure knowing they were being well taken care of while I was gone. Cat had her little cat tower and pictures of the cat by the glass door able to look outside and see everything. I am done searching for Rover people… will definitely use Marylee again. Excellent!!
Pups had a great time. Great communication.

Information Marylee K. would like to know about your pet
I require a meet & greet at my home at least one week prior to agreeing to host your pup(s). I have an extensive list of questions whereby I can get to know your pup & their personality. Please tell me your dog's name, age, gender and breed and provide a photo when requesting a meet & greet. I do not host dogs less than 3 years old nor Dobermans, Pit Bulls, or dogs with poor manners, destructive behavior, or with house training issues.
A typical day
There are several different routes in my neighborhood for walking which I always vary, even in the same day. Some are wooded areas, a park and an adjoining neighborhood. I can tailor the walk to be short or long depending on your dog's needs/preferences. Playing tag, ball or frisbee, fetching a stick, chasing a rabbit, exploring the yard, sunning on the deck, and "meeting" the neighbor's dog through the wire fence are all fun activities we will enjoy together. The old adage says "no playing in the house" but I say phooey to that. What's a dog to do on a rainy, snowy or just plain too hot day? :-)
