From the time Maryellen was a small child, she had a special connection with animals of all shapes and sizes. We lived out in the country in TN when she was young and we always had dogs. When she was six years old, our Great Dane had eleven pups and she would help me clean up after them, feed them and spend every waking moment she could taking care of them. We moved to Tallahassee in 2007 and she continued to give our animals all her special care as they grew old. As time has gone on, she has been entrusted to care for family, neighbors and friends’s dogs and cats when they were out of town. With Maryellen’s encouragement, we decided to take in an abandoned kitten and two reacue dogs into our home in the last year. Maryellen is a compassionate animal owner and caregiver. She would be an excellent choice for someone who needed their animals well taken care while away from home.
