I am currently a veterinary assistant at Ashland veterinary hospital and I am a part-time veterinary technician student. I have been around animals all my life through my involvement in 4-h. I have worked with rabbits, cows, horses, goats, pigs, dogs and cats and even owned my own small heard of cattle in high school. By working with so a variety of animals, I have learned how to work work with all different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I routinely give oral medications and subcutaneous injections. I am comfortable at recognizing any problems that may occur while you are away and promise to provide your pet with the best veterinary assistance needed. I am also a fear free certified veterinary professional and promise to take the time to get to know your pets and bond with them while I care for them. Fear free is a new movement in veterinary medicine to help prevent and alleviate anxiety, stress and fear in pets by educating veterinary staff.
