Mary was a great dog sitter. We had a wonderful weekend away and the pups were well cared for. We have older dogs so she administered medications, adjusted to their different diets, and made sure they went out - despite the rain. She was reliable, timely, and a great help. I'd recommend Mary for overnights or drop-ins.

Mary went above and beyond! She brought our Hello Fresh order in and put it in our fridge. She even spent extra time with our kitties on the weekend. Hope she is available next time! :)

Love & Care for Your Pet Found Here

Pets have been a part of my life since I was young kid. Life is just not the same without a furry friend, or four. Currently, I have an adopted 14 year old Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix, 3 adopted cats, and occasional foster kittens. Through my past volunteer work with Austin Pets Alive!, I have received some dog behavior training and learned how to administer many of the common medications pets are prescribed. You ...

What Mary would like to know about your dog

Please let me know about any behaviors I need to know that will help me properly care for your pup. Does s/he resource guard? Does s/he like to chase squirrels? Does s/he get skittish around men in hats, large dogs, etc? Knowing these things up front will not deter me, but help me in keeping your fur baby safe while under my care.

Being breed specific is akin to being racist and I do not believe in it. The only dog I do not like to work with is one that is overly aggressive. (Mostly because I do not have enough training to keep everyone safe.)

I am also not species specific. (Well, I prefer not to deal with spiders.) Snakes, lizards, birds, small woodland creatures, etc. on the other hand, are right up my alley!

About Mary's Home

When Mary watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks...
Chances are I am in one of my many StepBets, so I need the walk just as much as your pup does. Normally I will take them around the neighborhood, and/or (if you have one) the local dog park. My vehicle is pet friendly, so a “road trip” is also an option. If you have a favorite spot or “watering hole” to take your pooch, please let me know.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement...
I allow my dog, Hemi, to sleep in the room with me. If I am staying overnight at your place, I am okay with sharing the bed with your pup (and/or kitties). I try to accommodate you as much as possible so as to not disrupt your pup’s normal routine. A stranger in the house can be disruptive enough, no need to shake up their whole world.

Time I'll spend with your dog...
My normal work schedule is Monday thru Friday, typical hours with a lengthy commute. (And since I work for the military, Federal holidays also affect my availability.) With that said, I will spend as much time as you prefer, depending on my schedule that day. I like to be upfront about my schedule so you know there may be days where visits will be short, and others where we can have an all day pup day fun day.

Extra house-sitting services...
If you would like me to pick up the mail or water the plants, no worries, I have you covered. (No extra charge!) If you would like me to take care of additional duties, like feeding the cats or cleaning the litter box, just let me know. I can do that too!
