Pet care experience
My biggest flex might be that I’ve never met a cat that didn’t like me. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to care for their cats and dogs while out of town for years! I grew up with a cat and a dog, and I adopted a cat of my own as soon as I was done with grad school (my cat and I have been attached at the hip ever since). I dog-sat a Yorkshire terrier all throughout grad school, providing 1:1 doggy daycare at the owner’s home while she worked. I have been the secondary caregiver to a dachshund for 5+ years, a dog I also helped train.

I follow your instructions for your pet to a tee. I have a background in photography and use those skills to take pet photos owners love! I love taking dogs on walks, giving them belly rubs, and playing with them. I always give them fresh water (and food if that’s what I’m told to do!). I do much the same with cats—freshen their water, feed them if instructed to do so, and always interact with them on their terms. I befriend pets when meeting them for the first time, letting them smell me and give the ok before initiating contact. I’ve never met a dog or a cat that didn’t like me!

Let me know if your dog is leash trained, has any quirks when it comes to bathroom time, how they do when passing other dogs on the sidewalk, and if they have any triggers or things they’re afraid of.
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs mentally and physically. We’ll play with a favorite toy, check out all the new smells on the block and, if okay with their parents, head over to the park!
