Pet care experience
My name is Mary and I have worked with all sorts of animals, especially dogs, for 30 years. We own our home and have a good sized yard for our dogs and guest dogs. I do work full time as a zookeeper, have odd days off. This allows someone to be home often with our dogs and guests. The whole family helps and we really enjoy spending time with the dogs. I have experience with special diets and medicating, whether orally or injections if necessary. Please contact me with any questions or if you would like to meet us!

Our dog Izzie loves going to Mary’s. Mary is very conscientious and takes good care of our Izzie. She sends pictures everyday so we can see how Izzie is doing. In the pictures Izzie looks happy.
Mary is just the best! Our maltipoo “Pepper” so enjoys the cameraderie of her collection of pups and fits right in.
Mary and Roger were so awesome with both of our dogs. Their past and current experience with animals is what drew us to them. They were so accommodating with some last minute changes on both ends of our trip. I am truly grateful and was 100% comfortable leaving our boys with them. We will definitely use them again in the future if we need to board. THANK YOU!

Why I love dog sitting I grew up on a farm and have always been around dogs. I also served in the U.S. Army where I took care of the Military Working Dogs. I have also worked at animal shelters and boarding kennels.

I like all breeds, big and small. I would like to know if a dog is or ever had been aggressive towards people or other dogs. Also if they are escape artists, fence jumpers, etc.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We walk in our neighborhood most of the time. If a guest dog is very good on leash, and ok with owner, we may go to a large park to walk, or on the bosque trail. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Most guest dogs sleep in our main level where our older Labrador sleeps. She has a crate with big bed, we keep it open for her. We have couches and different sizes of dog beds. The owners are welcome to bring beds, etc. Time I'll spend with your dog I do work full time, but my family also assists with guest dogs. I do get up early to have time with my dogs and guest dogs. My evenings are spent with all the dogs. If course I have days off, so I am able to spend more time on those days.

I did vet tech work in the US Army, worked with Animal Welfare Depts. in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. I have also worked at some boarding kennels in CO and NM. Currently I am a Primate Zookeeper.
