Hi! I’m Mary, as a child I trained and showed my collie in 4-H and AKC shows, and I’ve never been without a dog since. I’ve cared for older dogs with physical limitations and they are the ones that really capture my heart. Feel free to ask me anything. My two Cardigan corgis and very active, love to chase and play, but they are gentle with the older dogs. However, unfortunately, they do not play well with very small dogs like chihuahuas and Jack Russell terriers, so younger dogs over 30 pounds are better suited here. Except elderly small dogs, who are fine. Also, I put mats out for dogs that don’t do well on slippery floors, and there are no stairs except the ones to get in the front door; the back door opens right into the yard!
