Pet care experience
Hello! I have been working in the dog care/training industry for the past 4+ years. I personally own two dogs, a hound and a heeler. I am a certified dog trainer which has allowed me to work with dogs all across the board. This means that I am intimately familiar with the variation of drives/personalities across breeds. Safety is my number one priority.... IF THERE IS AN ACTIVE HEAT ADVISORY OR EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING YOUR DOG'S WALKS AND/OR OUTSIDE TIME WILL BE LIMITED. If this is the case we will engage in other enrichment activities during my visit. All breeds are accepted. Just give me a heads up if your dog experiences reactivity, resource guarding, aggression, etc.

Since we live in Florida my first general concern would be the heat index as well as access to shade and water. Your dog will never be the first through any door- if your dog tends to be a door darter give me a heads up.

I do not have any breed preferences. I would like to know how often your dog needs to go outside, how much food to offer, temperament, and wariness of strangers. It would also be helpful to know if your dog is reactive to other animals, cars, and bicycles if your dog and I are going on a walk.
A typical day
I am willing to provide enrichment to your dog by tossing a ball, hiding treats and encouraging them to find them (of course, all treats will be picked up if they are not found!), walking in areas that you approve of, playing tug-of-war, and giving TLC.
