Dogs are precious to me!
Pet care experience
I have been dog-sitting for friends for several years; they have all varieties of dog breeds. I'm familiar with feeding a dog kibble or feeding raw food, and making sure they take their required medicines. I have cared for a senior Labrador who has arthritis in her back legs and needs to wear a leg brace. While my dog loves to play, she is very aware when a dog is older and prefers not to play. I was also a volunteer dog walker at the Nebraska Humane Society and I'm familiar with how to be safe while caring for and walking dogs - dogs of all breeds and sizes. My own dog is a "therapy dog" and she is well-behaved. She is allowed into our local library, senior care facilities and retail stores.

Mary is a gem of a dog-sitter/walker/care-taker! We found her to watch our dog for the day (were driving through on a little roadtrip), and she was seriously amazing -- wish we could have her with us in every city! She is very kind, warm, attentive, communicative (so many text updates and photos, so we didn't worry for a second about how our dog was doing!), thoughtful, and just all-around wonderful! Thank you so much, Mary, and we may make a trip back to Omaha just so we can get our dog around your wonderful influence again (and your adorable dog, Dora!).
I've never known anyone quite like Mary. She has a way with dogs that I've never seen before. She has watched my lab, Fiona, multiple times over the last few years. She treats her like her own dog. She gives her daily walks, love and attention while I am out of town. She sends me pics and updates regularly and expresses the same kind of love towards Fiona as she does her own dog, Dora. I have complete trust and would recommend her to anyone!
Mary has cared for our dogs for several years. Her flexibility of house sitting while we are on vacation, to a stop over to let the dogs out, to picking up the yard is a major stress reliever. You won't find anyone else who cares more about your dogs than Mary does! My dogs feel she is a member of the family.

I also have my own a medium size dog, Dora, who loves to play with any dog she meets. She has lots of toys that she is happy to share with a visiting dog.
