Happy Partner for Happy Paws 🐾

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Mary and I believe your furry family member(s) and I will be best friends while you are away. To help you get to know me a bit better, I have grown up with animals since a young age and have been servicing Rover for over two years now. I grew up with labs, huskies, malamutes, other various dog breeds and various cat breeds in my childhood and family households. With Rover, I have had the opportunity to meet all types of furry companions and would love to meet yours! I will treat your pets as they are my own precious family because I know that they are yours! I also will try to accommodate their needs whether that be extra attention, treats, walks, or medication administration. I try not to disrupt their daily routine to the best of my ability. I do not have boarding availabilities, but I can definitely come to you and assist as needed. To ensure that your fur babies are happy campers while you are away, I will ask a standard template of questions below pertaining to routines and habits.

Mary is our “go to” gal to hang out with our pets. They love her and she is so good to them! Mary is reliable and communicative. I never worry when she is with them. Mary understands that we want someone to be with our dogs so they are not alone and she will tell us in advance if she is going to need to be out for any period of time, unlike other house sitters who just leave without notice for hours at a time. 5 stars all around!

Care is based on your preferences and your companion’s preferences. Again, I try not to disrupt the household to the best of my ability. I also will keep very open communication during the entire process through your preference of texts, pictures, via Rover, and even through FaceTime (case by case basis).

Information Mary K. would like to know about your pet

I do prefer to do a Meet and Greet prior to any type of house sitting or extended drop-in visits. This is so that I better understand their routine, where necessities are kept, and to ensure that it will be a great fit for you, me, and your companion. Commons questions I will ask during a Meet and Greet to assess your overall pets’ needs include: 1. Feeding schedules 2. Sleeping arrangements 3. Treats given and/or treats allowed 4. Any games they may like to play 5. Exercise recommendations 6. Any separation anxiety and assessment 7. Any aggression towards others and assessment 8. Special medications needed 9. Location of all necessities for your fur ball in the house (toys, leashes, food, medications, collars, treats, etc.) 10. Crate trained or not 11. Number of hours they are typically left alone or allowed to be alone 12. Miscellaneous other factors such as emergency numbers, errands needed to be done, and etc.

A typical day

I do enjoy going for walks and I am more than happy to take your doggo to their favorite trail or spot. I also enjoy playing fetch with you fur ball or playing other games to entertain them. If they are more on the relaxed side and prefer to nap and snuggle up for a movie, I am also a fan of that!

I have a full-time job and I do tend to work 8-5 most days, but can flex here and there. My schedule is hybrid so certain days are at home while others are in the office. I am able to do walks, drop-in visits, and occasional house sittings on a case by case basis. Let’s work something out!
