Pet care experience
Raised as a dairy farm kid, eventually entered and recently retired from an animal welfare career. I live with a friendly cat and small dog. My experience personal and professional life has prepared me for the pros and cons of basically all domestic pets and many wild animals and exotics.

WOW! If anyone ever has to board their fur babies I highly recommend Rover with Mary Kay! This is the first time I have ever had to board my 2 Dachshunds AKA wieners! Sally who is 4 years old & Charlie who is just one year old. I have to admit I was extremely nervous. As I have never used this before. Not for long though! They sent short videos & pictures. It was easy to see how comfortable & happy they both were! I don’t think they missed me at all! I was able to relax & enjoy my vacation because I knew my fur babies were well taken care of!
I have known Mary for 20 plus years. She has owned many rescue days and they have always been well cared for. I've been certified in pet first aid training and administering meds if needed. Every animal who visits my home becomes "part of the pack". In my career I've handled many animal emergencies and rescues and occasionally took a bite in the process. I am trained for emergency response, as well. I'm passionate about the love, care and safety of all animals.

Part time photographer, I set my own schedule which occasionally takes me out of the area for a day or weekend. I'm confident we can make it work. I also have a son who dogsits mine when I'm gone unless he's busy training or grooming his clients pets. This can and has happened for family and friends on short notice or an emergency.
