Safety, trust & environment
I treat all animals I work with the same as I would treat my own. I am happy to follow all instructions given by the owner and work with the pet on the same training systems that are in place. In most cases clients need some help in the training department, so I am happy to offer suggestions also. I do not allow dogs that I walk to greet unknown dogs.
Information Mary K. would like to know about your pet
I am happy to work with any breed and any age. I will also ask you where you keep cleaning supplies and location of your garbage Incase there is a mess when I arrive. Food allergies is also something I like to know because I often carry treats with me. Medical conditions or medical concerns are also important information. I will also ask about behavioral history and concerns.
A typical day
We will walk around your neighborhood in a safe area. I will sometimes have my 2 young boys with me if they are out of school. Getting used to the smells and sounds of children is great for dogs that otherwise have had no experience. My boys are so used to dogs, that they pretty much do not pay attention to them. We train for proper behavior with whatever we do. When treats are involved the dog never notices that they are learning how to do things properly. I do my best to make sure what ever the bathroom requirements of the animal are met and cleaned up after. I gently discourage dogs from jumping up on me by moving back or to the side. Any training situations you are working on I am happy to follow what you are doing.

Over 20 years Experiance With Pets.
Pet care experience
I have worked for a Pet Groomer for over 15 years. I have spent many years training my dogs in Agility and basic obedience. I am looking for a more flexible schedule to be with my sons (who will sometimes be with me). I also have a large experience based knowledge of pet health and nutrition. I have always treated all animals as well as I treat my own. I have had three dogs at once, just recently having lost our two older dogs. I am able to handle more than one dog and have done puppy leash training and socialization for puppies. I am happy to help you with a new dog training or continue the training you currently use during our walks. I like to use treats to positively reinforce good behavior. I have been very helpful to customers in the past to resolve some behavioral issues with their pets and make them better family member.
Reviews

Mary is great with our senior girl. She is always gentle and caring, even when our pup is slow and stubborn.

Mary was great with our dog. She was on time and took good care of our girl.

Thanks so much for taking the time for a meet and greet with Ranger and Willow!

Mary was incredibly kind and patient with my senior dog. She took the time to earn my dog's trust, thoughtfully bringing treats to the meet and greet. Her dedication and gentle approach made all the difference. I highly recommend Mary—she’s fantastic!
