Mary Jo is wonderful! She lovingly cared for our 11 year old Murphy for 10 days. He enjoyed sleeping in her bed and really bonded with her. Mary Jo kept us informed about how he was doing with pictures and updates so that we didn’t worry. We picked up a happy, unstressed dog after our vacation. I highly recommend!
We have a ~4 year old mid-sized mix who has a high activity level. We boarded at Mary Jo's place and our pup was well taken care of! It was our first visit and we would love to have him stay there again!
Mary Jo is the best. Let my 2 Yorkers with her for a while week. I was worried about leaving my one dog who's a ball of anxiety. The second I left she sent me photos of them cuddling and playing. It was so easy to relax on my vacation knowing my girls were in good hands. I would recommend Mary Jo to anyone and everyone!
About Mary Jo
Saratoga Springs, NY is a delightful small town with quiet streets, a dog-friendly downtown, and plenty of parks and nature preserves. I live in a very safe, quiet neighborhood in the center of town, and from my front door dogs can head out on walks long and short. Beyond that, nature trails and mountain hikes begin as close as a five-minute car ride. There is no end to what your dog will be able to ...
What Mary Jo would like to know about your dog
My goal is to keep my canine charges happy and safe, and the more I know about them the more I am able to do that. Dog owners know what information they need me to know, and that mostly relates to their dog's likes and dislikes. Does he/she like to listen to the radio? Watch tv? Have a light on? Does he/she prefer long walks or short? Are rides in the car fun or frightening? I'll try to replicate his/her home life as much as possible, and stick to his/her routine as much as possible. I'll love every bit of information I get!
In addition, I do need to know about a dog's comfort level with other dogs and people. I've cared for many dogs that haven't a care in the world. I've also cared for dogs that are aggressive, and I can easily accommodate that. At the other end, I've cared for dogs that are very timid, and I do everything I can to make their walks and play time stress-free.
I have no preferences regarding a dog's breed or size.
I would also need to know about a dog's comfort level with other people.
