Pet care experience
** 04/06/2021** - Dog Walking and Letouts will resume 5/7/2021 ** 12/09/2020 - During the Covid-19 escalation in Massachusetts, we are suspending Dog walking and Letouts. DayCare and Boarding will continue as before with no changes. *** Foster mom to countless dogs over the years which were primarily greyhounds and worked with them to get them ready for adoption. This included some training like come, heel, stay, wait, move, go quickly as examples. Had breeds like dobermans, shepherds, elkhounds, and malamutes for pets. Prior experience of working at vet hospital setting up medical laboratory provided exposure to handling many different breeds as well as medical needs. Always concerned about safety so. I take extra measures to keep dogs & people safe. Experience in giving shots & pills. Experienced with caring for seizure dogs and dogs that have undergone surgeries like leg amputation. My dogs are fed home-made food so I am familiar with diets for dogs and able to offer countless suggestions to perk up a dog's appetite. Also familiar with vitamin/mineral supplements that dogs on home-made diets require. Safety for your pet is my major focus while they are staying in my home. All guests have "safe spaces" where they eat, sleep, and nap. If they are social, they will be out in the rest of the home with resident dogs. Dogs are taken out approximately every 2 hours starting at 6am and ending at 10pm. Breakfast for guests is 7am and dinner at 4pm. Snacks at 11 am and 8pm. Retired from being an IT Professional & Consultant where I spend much of my time traveling in the US and abroad. Currently, spend time writing books so, time is very flexible. ***Stays are booked similar to how a hotel operates where check-in is after 4 and check out is by noon. In our case, check in is after 4 and check out is before 2. Note that a fee ($15) is applied for early drop-off, late pickup, or for both. ***Note that a prior meet-n-greet is mandatory for any dog coming to stay at my home. There is no obligation associated with a meet-n-greet.
Reviews
MJ is the finest dog care provider. Her professionalism, knowledge of dogs and attention to every detail of their care is only surpassed by her love for them. Our dogs are always happy to see her. We only leave our dogs once a year for family vacation and miss them terribly. It helps to have someone we trust so much caring for them.
Very knowledgeable and caring. Went the extra mile to deal with medical issues and keep me fully informed long distance.
I am glad I made the correct decision to leave my dog here. Mary is a professional and reliable sitter. My dog was happy to be here. Mary also is the person with strong sense of time. I got plenty of updates on my dog’s stay every day. Based on our conversation, to me it was like that Mary must have been a vet before even tho I didn’t ask her for confirm. But all the suggestion and reminders from her were professional. As this was the first time that my dog stayed here, he did spend some time to try to get familiar here but I think he will be fully enjoy his stay next time. So I need to board my dog next time, I ll choose Mary with any hesitation unless she is fully booked.
Mary Jane is extremely responsible and thorough. He top priority is each dog's health and safety. Mary Jane sent us lots of pictures and communication while we were away so we knew how our Bernese Mountain dog was doing. With Mary Jane, we knew our dog was in good hands!

FYI -- in addition to observing your dog's reaction to both my greyhound and to me, numerous questions will be asked about your dog during the meet-n-greet. Please note that dogs with separation anxiety (SA) would require medication if they are boarded to ensure that their anxious behaviors do not affect the rest of the guests.
