Simply put: Mary is the best! As someone who has used several sitters spanning the years from this site (and others), I have never met someone who is more caring, understanding, relatable, and conscientious toward animals. Mary truly is about the animal and does not treat the job as a side hustle or give anything less than perfect care. Mary’s skill set combined with her compassion and empathy for animals rises far above the average pet-loving individual. As someone with two challenging animals (a dog with severe aggression/anxiety and a temperamental pig), Mary not only rose to the occasion and embraced my animal’s quirks, she got on their level to quickly bond with them in unsurpassed ways that I have truly never seen in my years of pet ownership. Moreover, she did the job exactly as I had asked and even then some, going above and beyond. Several of my neighbors even reported what an excellent job she did. As a house sitter, Mary was respectful of our space and left my house possibly cleaner than when I left it. I can’t say enough about Mary. Her energy and light is exactly what we needed for our care. Extremely highly recommended and we can’t wait to have her back!

My dog Maggie is cute as hell, but also a bit high strung. She freaks out whenever she sees or even thinks she sees another dog. She's generally okay with strangers as long as they're not loud or make sudden movements. In other words, she's a bit of a handful and I don't trust many people with her. Mary could not have been better with her. Mary clearly modified her behavior in how she moved and talked to Maggie in a way that actually made my problem child of a dog seem comfortable and taken care of. I've only seen a few people ever connect with her like that. It ain't easy, but Mary made it look easy. She goes above and beyond to make every dog she deals with is taken care of in a way that works best for that individual dog. Mary is a a god send!
