Dog lover - experience w/ rescues

Pet care experience

Hello! I’m Mary-Grace. I just returned from a long-term sabbatical abroad and have a flexible schedule with the ability to spend consistent time with your dog. Aside from growing up with dogs my entire life and having prior experience in walking them and petsitting, I have also volunteered by fostering rescue dogs consistently for the past 4 years. I’ve taken care of over 15+ dogs so I have experience with many different types of personalities. Working with rescues has exposed me to all sorts of issues including lively puppies, illness, aggression towards other animals, timid/anxious dogs with an extra need of TLC, etc. The majority of my experience is with small and medium sized dogs and while I feel most comfortable caring for those sizes, I'm always willing to meet larger furry friends! I’m happy to let your dog out, walk them and house sit while you’re away, whatever needs to be done to keep your dog healthy and happy! Please note, that I cannot commit to housesitting with cats as I am unfortunately, allergic, but I am more than happy to do drop in visits and walks with dogs that have cat companions in the household.

I worked with Mary Grace with some foster dogs and she was always so kind, compassionate and patient. She has fostered dogs of all temperaments and helped them all acclimate to nyc so they could find their forever homes. The dogs she fostered flourished and i know it will be the same with any dogs they come into her home. She has a great heart. She is also very responsible and will ask all the right questions. She also takes direction well and followed all the rescue policies.

Mary Grace fostered many, many dogs from Friends with 4 paws. She would spend her extra times before/after work, weekends & holidays, cares for them very dearly until the dog found a forever home. In fact, the very first dog she fostered was adopted by myself. She played, walked, fed, bathed, interact with them. And once they’re adopted, she called to see how they’re all doing. She probably will adopt all of them if she can.
