Your pet, my passion 💙

Pet care experience

I had my own dog as a teenager that I was responsible for, and have owned anywhere from 2-3 dogs at a time over the years out on my own. I currently have two rescue dogs, a rescue cat, and a foster dog. I have fostered rescue animals for 6 years (over 40 animals) and have been an actively licensed veterinary technician for 5 years working full time in a clinic setting. Animals are my passion, making sure they are happy and healthy! I am open to assist with all age ranges as well as those requiring medications, but all pets must be up to date on vaccinations. I am open to caring for dogs, cats, and some small animals or exotics. I have been around a variety of animals in rescue and at work- from puppies to seniors, from pregnant momma's to puppy mill survivors (I even have one myself). Let me know what works best for them and I will do everything I can to accommodate!

Mary SAVED THE DAY! I was in from out of town and ended up desperately needing someone to take care of my puppy. Mary went above and beyond and even taught my boy a new trick. 10/10 if I'm ever in town again I know exactly who I'm going to call.

Mary did a great job making sure Stewart received all his medications on schedule. She also took care of him when he had a seizure.

Mary is so great and provided so many updates for my boy Loki while I was away. She had no issues coming over and making sure she had all information she needed to ensure he received the best care! Thank you so much for helping me out on such short notice and making sure my boy was loved and played with! 1038592% recommend Mary. :) <3

Safety, trust & environment

I am able to provide a loving home where pets are allowed to free roam the house with rooms separated by gates to create safe spaces. Pets should be children friendly as I have 3 older children, although they are comfortable with pets who may be a little nervous. Plenty of love to go around!

Information Mary D. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know ahead of time if you have any medical or behavioral concerns, including medications and allergies. Let me know any fun quirks they may have or their favorite spots for scratches, or how to best handle any nerves! I am willing to assist and accommodate as best as I can, so they can be as comfortable as they can!

A typical day

I enjoy playing with the pets and letting them tug at or chase their favorite toys! If snuggling is what they'd prefer, I am happy to accommodate as well! Our neighborhood is a friendly for walking around. We live nearby a trail that I can walk the dogs on for a nice exercise filled trip! At your house, we can take walks in the nearby neighborhood or on a nearby trail within a short distance!
