Mary Clare is a friend but I am also her pet sitter while she’s away. I know what exceptional care she gives her dogs. They are treated like children with much love, pampering and attention. Mary Clare is one of a kind. She rescues Japanese Chins, and rescues healthy ones, and ones with special medical needs. She has the years of medical training to care for them and quite literally save their lives in an emergency situation, and has done so more than a few times with one of her rescues, Mochi, who has a permanent tracheotomy and a few other issues.

Mary Clare has five dogs that are more her children than her pets. She loves dogs no matter if they are big or small, long-haired or short-haired, if they slobber or she'd everywhere...it doesn't matter. She will treat any dog as family.

I have owned (or shall I say I am owned by) many dogs and cats throughout my lifetime. Most recently I have become a lover and advocate of the Japanese Chin breed and have three of my own (and adopted two additional foster Chin with special needs.
