Pet care experience
I have experience owning a cocker spaniel (as a child) and a male German Shepherd, who passed away a few years ago. I have also owned quite a few cats at different times. I have been dog sitting for ten years now, and I loved my dog clients and their owners in New Jersey. I cared for quite a few old and sickly dogs. I recently moved to Pearland to be closer to my grandchildren. I hope to care for some dogs and cats again. I am an Ivy League grad with a degree in Mathematics who worked in the computer software and pharmaceutical industries. I am mature and responsible and have raised two children. I miss having a dog of my own, but my husband is resistant. I have plenty of love to share and dogs and cats seem to bond with me and enjoy having me care for them.

Mary Ann has become our top choice sitter since we first used her, and have just finished a stretch of 4-5 stays to ene the Summer and begin Fall. She is courteous of our home, great with our dog, and keeps us posted during her stay with how everything is going. Well worth it, for having peace of mind while away.

I would like general information before sitting the dog, such as temperment, what the dog loves to do, and how the dog likes to be handled.
A typical day
I love taking dogs for walks, and will go around the area where the dog lives. If there are parks nearby, I will go there. I cannot run with a high energy dog, but otherwise I can give the dog enough exercise. I used to walk my German Shepherd regularly. I enjoy playing ball using a "Chuckit" to improve my range. Dogs love this!
