I have, of course, cared for and trained my own dogs from childhood. These dogs included some high energy breeds such as border collies and Australian Cattle Dogs as well as some more independent breeds such as Scottish terriers. More than that, however, I've worked as a vet tech in a small animal clinic and volunteered to socialize shelter dogs, primarily pit bulls and pit mixes, in Santa Monica, California, working with a program that paired shelter dogs with children in the juvenile justice system. I have a great deal of experience in gently but effectively handling a wide variety of wonderful dogs in a vast number of different circumstances. I truly love all dogs, regardless of their age, their activity level, or their breed.
