Hello! We are Martina and Alice and we live in Streatham, we are a couple waiting to get our first dog together, in the meantime we love to dog-sit! we grew up having dogs around our whole lives and we’ve been dog-sitting regularly with rover for more than 3 years now. We had lots of puppies (the youngest was 2 months old) but also older dogs (the oldest was 19!!) and a lot of sausage dogs for some reason lol 🥰 We live in a terraced house with a private fenced garden and we both work part-time so there is usually always at least one of us at home. we are not trainers so if your dog needs special care let us know very specifically, we just want to be sure we are the best match and unfortunately we can’t deal with dogs that have severe separation anxiety or are extremely high energy. we are familiar with the administration of medications with the dogs that needed them while we had them over, we never had problems with that. we normally bathe the dogs that we have over for like a month so we can do that as well if necessary! In conclusion, if you need someone easygoing and flexible to help you with your dog, contact us because we can't wait to find a lot of new friends!!!

Alfie was well taken care of with her food and schedules, though Alfie was anxious during her stay and not very active, maxine took care of her at home, she took all details of Alfie’s routine and habits beforehand to take care of her.
Martina was calm & confident with my two chihuahuas, one of whom can be a bit grumpy when left with someone she doesn't know, but it turned out well and they seem happy & tired when I picked them up, which is great. We will definitely book Martina again, if she'll have us 😄
We were a bit nervous as this was our first weekend leaving our puppy, but Martina and Alice were great and definitely put us at ease! Communication was excellent, we received updates throughout and our puppy seemed really comfortable when we picked him up. Would definitely use again in the future and recommend to anyone!
My elderly dog (12years old) stayed with Martina for 3 days. As an old dog, he has back problems and needs extra care and attention. Personally, I think she is not the most appropriate dog sitter if your dog has health problems as my dog was having pain during his stay and I felt like his needs were seen as a burden. In the beginning everything was fine, but when his pain got worse communication went a bit off. I felt stressed and worried about him a lot.

We have a private garden where the dogs can play, they can’t escape because it’s in the back and it’s surrounded by tall bricked fences. The house is small kids approved because we babysit sometimes so the dogs can’t access anything small or toxic either!

we would like to know any special needs: medication, food allergies, etc. of course and how trained they are, what kind of things are not allowed to do, we don’t want to mess up their routine or training! also if they are friendly with other dogs and if they are alright on the bus.
A typical day
we normally have more than one dog at the same time so they mostly entertain each other, we take them on walks obviously, we have toys and treats for training, we do tricks to stimulate their minds like putting kibbles in towels/newspapers, etc. and lots & lots of cuddles!! we also make sure to send pictures and videos every day so you’ll always know what & how your puppy is doing :)

Availability
We are both working part-time so your pup will never be alone. There are lots of big parks within walking distance from us like Streatham Common and Tooting Common; we love to take the more relaxed dogs to cafes and in general wherever we go so please let us know if they are okay on the bus/tube. Obviously, it depends from dog to dog, we are very flexible so we can change our routines to suit whatever they are used to at home!
