Welcome to Candlewood Canine Country Club! A Fun, Relaxing Vacation for your Dog! Please check out my photos of just some of the many dogs I have hosted in my home! I have several years of experience caring for dogs with many repeat guests. Over the years I have also loved and enjoyed my own dogs and cats and they were a very important part of the family. Owners have told me that their pets love coming to stay with me and are excited to be here! With nearly an Acre, Plenty of Playtime for Dogs is available and there is lots of room to explore and play with a Very Large, Secure Fenced-in Backyard with a Locked Gate. In warmer weather, there are plenty of shady and sunny spots to relax and enjoy the backyard! Pets are treated with love and as part of the family! There is a pet sofa in the living room right in front of the windows where dogs can relax, nap, bird and squirrel watch! I can provide 24/7 care which means I can provide lots of extra love, care and attention as well as inside activities and outside playtime for your pets day and night. Even though I provide 24/7 care, it is not meant for dogs that need constant supervision due to behavioral issues such as digging, marking in the house, housebreaking issues, Excessive barking, Excessive whining, jumping/scaling fences/escape artists, aggressive behavior, etc. Very young puppies, Pit Bulls, Pit Bull mixes, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Huskies, Cattle dogs, any dogs mixed with the above breeds or aggressive dogs are not a good fit for me to host in my home. It is important that dogs are a good fit here and that I provide a safe environment. All dogs Must Be Vaccinated /current on their shots and on some form of Flea/Tick Prevention. My home has 2 levels. Dogs have access to the upper level, the deck and the backyard so I can keep an eye on them at all times. My home is dog friendly and dog proofed. I do not have any children. My home is a smoke-free home and I am a non-smoker. I live in a Minneapolis Suburb that is easily accessible from all directions. We Love our Repeat Guests but also take in New Guests! We like to establish long term relationships with you and your dog! Even though I do not have any of my own pets and my calendar shows I am available I usually have at least one dog here so if you know that your dog is not good with other dogs I will not be able to accommodate you. Drop Off and Pick Up times are flexible and I will work around your schedule to meet your needs. The Boarding rate/Drop off and Pick up times is based on a 24 hour period, I send photos along with updates during your dogs stay!
