I've been an advocate for animals since I was able to talk. I could write a memoir based on my two decades of rescuing and advocating for animals. Too many adventures to count. Pets always have a place in my home. All animals have a place in my heart. I once lived in a home with my son, 12 cats(7 were kittens) three dogs and a chinchilla named Bruce. I now have one cat named Don Knott's, we live in an apartment in the country by a swamp, woods and large yard to play in. Plenty of beautiful parks to hike and play with animals in nearby, I don't mind driving to a surprise trip to the park with a few furry companions in my car either. My cat Don Knott's used to ride on my shoulder in the car every day, he is leash trained. He's a homebody these days. Animals have always been a part of my life. I'm a single parent raising my son to be equally compassionate and gracious of animals, the earth and universe around him. Kindness is crucial and especially needed in dark times.
