Since I can remember, I've considered myself an animal caretaker. From the ages of 2-17, I raised and cared for our family's dogs; a black lab (Spikley), Rottweiler (Lemon) then our Pitbull (Zen). Along with various smaller pets consisting of fresh water fish, turtle and two dozen hamsters. Throughout college, I pet sat dogs of various sizes in between class and work since we couldn't have pets in the dorms. I gained the knowledge of taking care of various dogs, as well as being introduced to cats. After graduating college I rescued my own cat, a beautiful tabby cat named Ty. I've been watching cats and dogs for family and friends-- overnight stays, walks/runs, clean ups and all. These experiences have instilled a higher level of responsibility that comes with caring for someone else's loved ones. I currently live with my secondary family caring for their two adorable shih tzus, Leo and Ollie, who make my day.
