I’m Marlene. I have more than ten years of experience as a pet owner and have been offering dog walking and pet sitting services for the past 3 years. It’s something I really love doing! I was inspired to become a pet sitter because of how much I enjoy connecting with animals. I'm particularly interested in the behavioral psychology of canines. I currently have two dogs at home, ages 1 year and 13. Through pet sitting and owning pups, I’ve had quite a few canines come through my home over the years. I’m experienced caring for various types of dogs and am open to looking after those with anxiety or special needs. I live in a spacious, doggy-proof house with a large fenced yard. My furry guests are able to run around and play in the yard. It’s great for potty breaks too. I live with my parents who can assist with pet care.

Our dog walker is very nice and knows how to handle our boxer. On time and considerate. Looking forward for pacino to spending more time with his new friend.
She’s great at communicating when she’s going to be there and sends me pics of my puppy which is always a treat. Marlene also cares about my puppy’s happiness and makes sure she stays happy. :)

I would like to know how your dog is around people and other pets as your pup may be interacting with mine. I'd also like to know if your pooch is taking any flea or tick medication. Do they have any triggers I should know about? What commands does your pup know? What do they enjoy? What is your pet’s personality like? All of this information will help me provide a fun and pleasant stay.
A typical day
When I meet a new pooch, I like to get down to their level and extend my hand out slowly. I also usually calmly talk to them –– I have a special dog voice that’s positive and warm. During our time together, we’ll go on walks. I’ll check my notes with you to see if you indicated a specific park or nearby route. If not, I’ll usually take the dog to one of my favorite parks or a walking path near the water. There is a dog park with a running trail that’s about a 15-minute walk from my home which I really like. I provide excellent customer service by listening to my clients’ requests and asking lots of questions. If a pet owner mentions something specific, I’ll keep that in mind during our time together. Your pet’s safety is my number one priority.
