I texted with Marlene before the intended stay a few times and everything seemed ok. However, her house was incredibly hard to find, and she did not respond to my repeated texts/Rover messages. The neighborhood looks very rough/sketchy- Marlene's house appears boarded up and abandoned. I called the Rover emergency line and have requested a full refund - which I have not yet received. I absolutely would NOT recommend Marlene.

Marlene asked me to let her know when I was on my way a few days before the stay. I saw a bunch of good reviews so I wasnt too concerned about leaving my dog with her. So when we were on our way, I let her know and we headed her direction. I did not get a message back. When I got near her location, I could not find her house. Most of the houses I saw were boarded up and I got a bit nervous about leaving my dog with her. I still hadn't heard back from her but at this time I tried calling. No answer. I called rover support and they were unable to reach her. I ended up having to book another person through rover last minute and everything worked out for me. But this was a very frustrating experience. She did end up messaging me a few hours later saying that her phone was off and she could still take care of Buck but I had already figured another solution out as we had a plane to catch.
