Marlena has house sit Sadie a few times now and I have always been pleased with how she takes care of her. I recently went on a 10 day trip internationally and was not concerned one bit for my pet given Marlena's constant updates and ensuring to provide the care that Sadie needs. I strongly recommend her for sitting your pet!

2.5/5 stars Marlena was my first choice for a sitter when my husband and I were out of town for a weekend, and we instantly clicked during our Meet & Greet - she was friendly and open, a huge cat lover, and we were ecstatic of building not just a client-sitter relationship, but a potential friendship as well. However, we have reason to believe she faked a couple of her visits, and also did not the entire duration of the visits in which she did stop by - the photos she sent in the “morning” visits looked oddly similar to the ones taken the evening before, and we did not receive any notifications from our security cameras (which we disclosed the existence of beforehand) of any persons or vehicles on our property when she was supposedly here. However, the times she did stop by, the cats seemed really at ease with her and loved playing with her. Upon arriving home, we discovered none of the litter boxes were scooped, and all of the wet food bowls and wet food cans that were set out were untouched. I feel as though our trust was betrayed, and that our cats did not receive the care that we asked and paid for. That being said, when we confronted Marlena, she did own up to everything instead of trying to deny it, as well as offering up a full refund. She explained that she had some personal challenges which affected her ability to perform at her usual level. Nevertheless, this should have been communicated to us beforehand so that we could make other accommodations; we would have never asked someone to prioritize their work over their own needs. Given her honesty and her accountability, we do believe that our experience is the outlier (especially given her other outstanding reviews) and that she will learn from this mistake and not repeat it in the future.
