Pet care experience
I have taken care of my family dog, Roxy, for the past 5 years. I am also a trained cat volunteer at Milo Foundation in San Rafael, California, and a trained dog and cat volunteer at Paws Chicago, where I volunteer weekly. There, I mostly work with dogs and puppies taking them for walks, playing with them, cleaning up after them, showing them to potential adopters, feeding them, and taking care of them in any other ways necessary. I have also volunteered with the cats at Milo, helping to feed and socialize them. I am a huge animal lover and would love to take care of your pets!

When taking your dog for a walk I will keep them on leash, with a harness if necessary. I will let them off leash only in fenced-in areas, and keep an eye on them. I will make sure to pick up after them as well. While taking care of cats, I will keep doors closed so they don’t get out, and will watch them to ensure they stay out of danger.

I would like to know ahead of time how the dog does with other dogs we may pass on the walk, any specific triggers we may encounter, and any specific issues they may have. I would also like to know if you have a regular walking route that the dog likes, and any good nearby parks.
A typical day
We’ll spend some time playing with their favorite toys and any games they may like. Then we will go for walk either through the neighborhood or go to a nearby park.

I am currently in Chicago for the school year. I am student but I am available Wednesday mornings and most of the day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
