Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Marla! Although I’ve been on Rover a few years, I’m not new to dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and completely adore them. My friends and family have dubbed me “the crazy dog lady” haha. I understand the care and responsibility it takes to ensure the dog is safe and in good hands. I think dogs are the greatest and have cared for many different temperaments and breeds. I love to spend time walking dogs and playing with them. I’m the type of person who will stop to ask a dog owner if I can pet the dog and believe they are the best creatures to exist. Your dog will be cared for as if it were my own! I am responsible, dedicated, and a huge dog lover! I am extremely patient and understanding even for dogs with special needs or accommodations. My schedule is pretty flexible right now during the week and the weekend; I WFH full-time during the week. I look forward to caring and loving your pet!

Marla was so good with my pup, River!! This was his second time ever being left with a person that wasn’t my family or a friend. She was patient when he was a little nervous at first, but he warmed up to her quickly! She kept me updated throughout the day which I really appreciated. Will definitely use again!
Marla was an excellent dog sitter for little girl, Ellie! Always sent us pictures and updates and I could see how comfortable Ellie was with Marla right away. I don’t mind dogs on my couch or my bed if it’s allowed at home! Unless the pup is a huge shedder, then would prefer not to sleep on bed or couch. Giving me puppy eyes could change my mind though.

Let me know if your pup has any special needs or anything that I should know about! Every dog has their own personality and things they like/don’t like or even spook them/ separation anxiety, etc. No detail is too much detail, I treat dogs like they are my own and they all deserve the best! I realize it can be nerve wracking allowing a stranger to care for your best friend and wanting the best care without having to worry. I genuinely am a big dog lover and will protect and care for your doggo with the best care. Pets are part of the family! As a little girl, I refused to play with Barbie dolls, I only ever wanted dog plush toys and my favorite movie was 101 Dalmatians. I guess some love for things never change lol. Okay, enough about me— tell me about your dog and his or her needs! Here because I love dogs, doing what I love, and want you to have a stress-free time will away, under the best pet care!
A typical day
I’m really patient and am all about letting dogs sniff around and enjoy all the new smells outside, letting them enjoy the moment and be happy! I have a dog run behind my condo building we can play in (alone or with other dogs depending on pup’s preference!) There is plenty of space to walk and potty outside on my street (curl-de-sac) and fob access behind my building that backs up to behind shopping center that’s always wide open since barely any cars park there. Dogs always love it! I want to make sure your pet is happy and comfortable and doing whatever it is they enjoy most! (Fetch/playing, walks, pets, cuddles)

Availability
I WFH full time M-F so am always home to care for your pet including playtime, walks, and snuggles! I’d rather be at home hanging with your pet and going on walks than out at a bar. Dogs > Humans ;)
