Currently moved permanently to the Folsom / Citrus Heights area. Since it is no longer just my Gigi(my Miniature Pinscher) in the house, I can only provide House / Dog Sitting at your home. This is why my profile has changed. I have had dogs all my life. When I was 5 years old I received a Dachshund puppy for my birthday and then a kitten too. We raised them together and they were great companions. Yes we had other dogs too, but Skeeter and Sassy were my first pets. In 2013, after my parents passed away, I start bringing in abandoned / stray dogs to work with them along with my dog, Gigi. We get them to trust again and to become the beautiful dogs they were destined to be all along. It is so wonderful to watch their development, from scared and shy. To strong and assertive loving dogs. My brother calls me a walking dog treat, if a dog is around, they just come for me knowing I will accept them just as they are. I love that comment and I would hope people would be that way with everyone. My recent stray, which her family was found, would do my exercises with me everyday. I would get on my mat and she sat next to me and stretched as I stretched. They will show you a wonderful personality if you allow them to open up. When I asked her owner if she worked out with her dog, she said no she never had in the past. She was amazed that her dog was in tune with me that she did the moves with me. I have taken classes on Animal Physical Therapy and Pet First Aid & CPR but I have not used my CPR on a dog. I do massage my dog and dogs in my care to help them relax and enjoy a good nights sleep. Plus when a stray comes to my house the massage is a good way to build trust and get them to like a humans touch. That doesn't happen immediately but when it does, they are wanting more and more. Besides my large backyard, I have a enclosed patio that Gigi and friends will play in when it is raining outside and she wants to not be in the house. I have a Miniature Pinscher, Gigi, she is 8 this summer but still very active with play dates with friends and loves to go visiting. Hope this is enough so you can get a good glimpse into my home.
