Pet care experience
I have a wonderful, super friendly 16 year old golden retriever at home (currently living in Louisiana with my parents), who I have loved caring for over the course of her life. I would love to care for your older, more mature dog who is lovable and friendly. However, I would also love to watch your puppy or younger dog just as much! I seek to get to know each animal individually and welcome any tips, tricks, or advice given to me by each owner. Since my dog is currently living with my parents, I would love to watch and sit for dogs to fill the void that has been left in my heart since leaving my beautiful dog Spark with my parents in Louisiana.

Markus has been an excellent go to cat sitter for my two kitties here in Manhattan. Whenever I have to go out of town I feel at ease knowing he is only a phone call away. He will stop by to feed the cats morning and night, refill their water bowl and change out their litter box. What sets him apart is that he will actually spend time playing and caring for my cats. I know he takes the time because every time I see them interact my cats are in love with him! Don't look any further for pet care, Markus is your guy!
Markus puppy sat my Maltipoo, Truffles, for the very first time a few months ago when I left town for the weekend. Immediately, after that weekend, I knew it was the best decision I've ever made because Truffles would jump for joy whenever she saw Markus. I'm really glad I met Markus because it's really hard to find a dog sitter who is as trustworthy, loyal, and caring as him! I give him my highest recommendation!
Markus was my student for 3 years at Indiana University. He house sat for me and took care of my dog (a Bichon Frise) on numerous occasions. I trusted him completely in my home and he took excellent care of my dog. He often stayed in the house for a week at a time, was highly reliable and left the dog, plants and house in good order. I highly recommend Markus!

I'd love to know about any behavioral issues and how good the dog is at walking close to me. NYC streets can be tough with cars running red lights and turning as they wish, but if I know ahead of time I can reign your pup in and keep him or her safe! No breed preferences here!
A typical day
Where we go on walks will completely depend on your preference. I usually don't like to go to far from the dog's home; however, I do love Central Park, Prospect Park, and Riverside Park depending on your location in the city. I love to play fetch with the dogs I watch or exhaust them by running around for a bit. My mom always calls it the heebee-jeebees when our dog runs around uncontrollably. But that means less uncontrollable energy at home, so it's a win-win! :)
