I am a retired Army Colonel who loves dogs and have always had them in my life. I volunteer at the local animal shelter and I foster dogs for the Humane Society. I have decided to get involved with Rover because I believe I have a valuable service to offer...a wonderful vacation experience for your dog(s) ... I will spoil them and make them comfortable and feel at home. I have a half acre fully fenced and with a nice turf....dogs love to run and play here.... I have a dog door allowing dogs to come and go as they please. There's even a wooden deck just for the dogs. I have a "chuck it" ... best invention ever... that I love to use to wear out dogs chasing tennis balls. I do prefer a meet and greet ahead of time, as I have two very small doggies (combined weight under 15 pounds) and I want to make sure everyone is compatible so no one gets hurt. I am retired and home most of the time, spending time with all the pets to make sure their stay is a wonderful experience. My favorite T-shirt says, " I don't always spoil my dog ... oh wait, yes I do" .... that says it all ..... I recently decided to accept only small dogs because my 3 pound YorkiePoo is so intimidated by bigger dogs.
