Happy Paws Sitting and Walking

Pet care experience

We have been watching dogs on Dog Vacay and Rover for over 5 years both on the east and west coast as well as the UK. We both grew up with dogs in our families, and we currently have a happy dog and kitty of our own who are the best of friends. Both of our pets require medicine, so we are comfortable giving eye drops, pills, or whatever your pet may need. Mark typically does the dog walking as he works from home every day of the week but has plenty of time for long walks. He typically walks or jogs our dog 5km a day and sometimes more on weekends. We typically go out three times a day, especially when the weather is nice. While we have a nice enclosed backyard, we often prefer to take the dogs to one of the many parks in the area to run around. We have a rather large home of over 1100 square feet with hardwood floors and tile in the basement. Rest assure that your pup will be getting plenty of love too! We have no breed preferences - We adore every creature under the sun. Before working with a new pet, we always like to know: - Favorite toys/places/activities - Usual meal amount and timing, appropriate treats - Allergies, fears, anxieties, and triggers to avoid - History of aggression, esp with strangers - Territorial behaviors around food or habitat - Positive behaviors you'd like me to reinforce No special needs are a problem or deterrent, they're just important for me provide the best care for your pup. We have worked with a huge variety of ages and sizes - as long as you can provide detailed care instructions, we can definitely help you out!

Mark was very accommodating and goes out of his way to work with the client/owner. His pricing is fair for the area and he is attentive to your pets. There was a hiccup on the last day I guess, as I returned home to a pretty messy state and a small pile of #2 and #1 droppings within the room. Not sure how this occurred as both of my pets are house trained. It could just be a one-off. Regardless, I do recommend Mark for Rover.

Mark, his roommates, and his pup Nettie were great with Teddy! Mark was really responsive with setting up a meet-n-greet and made sure to send photo updates when Teddy was staying with them. Teddy was exhausted when I brought him home, too. I'll definitely be getting in touch with Mark when I'm heading out of town again.
