Pet care experience
I have always believed that the relationship between a dog and owner is something you cannot explain to other people, especially those who have never owned a dog. I have always had a dog in my life as far back as I can remember. Airedale terriers, jack russells, golden retrievers, a rottweiller, and now Dutch Shepherds. My passion for dogs grew into a dog training business in D.C. and as a new member of the Austin Community I am excited to be involved in the dog world once again here. I began my love for training after adopting our dog Darius a working Dutch Shepherd. My friend and mentor is the leading specialist on the breed and in the working dog world. I have had the unique pleasure of learning from her for many years. We moved to Austin for my wife's career and love the area especially how dog friendly it is of course. Having a 3 year old in school and at home full time I have the time and experience to dedicate to your pup.

Being a first time user of Rover, I can't say enough about Mark. He really came through and made me feel comfortable leaving my 2 dogs in his care. He was very communicative and his background and skill set have definitely left an impression on my dogs and has enhanced our relationship. I missed my flight coming home from being out of the country and he was able to accommodate and ensured my dogs were taken care of. I will definitely be re-booking him when I have to travel. I cannot speak highly enough about Mark and his services. He treated Amber like family but also implemented new training methods. He flooded us with pics and updates (which we loved!!). He is so knowledgeable and patient. He's really taken a dog we thought could never get along with other dogs and showed us her potential! Feeling immensely blessed to have met him and his sweet family. Big thanks to Rover for having such a high caliber of resources on this app!
Mark was amazing with Lucy! He was even able to offer training advice that's helped since he left. And he goes above and beyond on dog walks. I couldn't recommend him more highly!
Great experience! My dog took to Mark right away and was so happy - you can't fool a dog! He came on short notice, took great care of my baby and even spent some time answering my questions as he is also a dog trainer - and all his tips worked! Can't wait to have him back as a trainer next!

Being close to zilker, greenbelt trails, lots of community walking areas and coffee shops there are lots of options around me. I'm also a firm believer in occupying a dogs mind so I have lots of dogs puzzles and toys to keep dogs mentally stimulated.
