Home F/T - Active Family

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Mark. Having undergone advanced screening, I have been in-person by a company representative and my home has been inspected. I don’t think anything in particular "made" me a dog lover. It’s just always been a part of who I am & where I come from. I wanted a dog as a child, but my mother was not a dog lover. Despite me constantly harassing my parents, they never would let me have a dog, so I got to play with the dogs of friends. As a teenager growing up in the Kent countryside (I’m from England) I had a part time job in a stable, on a rich family’s estate. This let me indulge in constant contact with both horses & dogs. I’m not just a dog lover; they are my favorites, but being a country lad, I had an appreciation for all animals I'd meet while being out & about. We had working dogs & horses on the estate and I enjoyed my time there tremendously. It never actually felt like I was going to work ! I’m a stay at home dad to my 2 girls (9 & 10 years of age). My wife Debra is a pilot, so she is gone for 2-3 days straight but then home for the other 4 or 5. So pretty much twice a day I'll have to take the kids to & from school, which will mean me being gone from home for 30 mins in the morning & 30 minutes in the afternoon. So anyone who has dogs stay with us, will know that their dog will not be alone for very much time at all. I have a minivan & a SUV, so I'll be able to take the dogs to a local dog park, probably Shawnee Park, but also take them for a walk around my local neighborhood. Just for fun though, I will mix things up a bit by checking out some other dog parks within 10 miles of our house (there’s 1 down near Ocotillo & Alma School in Chandler I sometimes go to as well). My own dogs like a quick trip out in the van and if it means a "new" place to go for a walk, I think they love it. We live in the North part of the Dobson Ranch development known as Park Place. It’s a quiet neighborhood, but with green spaces & paths to walk, plus my back yard is a big enough to allow 6 or so dogs to roam around. The price listed is for a 24 hour stay.

Mark and his family took great care of our two furballs. They were walked, played with, and loved as if they were his. Penny & Bella have never looked so happy and I'm sure are awaiting their next visit.

We would definitely trust Mark to watch our dog, Molly, again. We loved having the opportunity to meet him, his dogs, and his kids beforehand and make sure everyone got along.

We are very pleased with the care Mark provided for Sparky. I received many pictures and updates on what Sparky's day was like. It was wonderful knowing that Sparky was left in good hands while we were away. I would recommend Mark to anyone.

Mark's home was very pet-friendly! He has two little dogs that are perfect to socialize with other dogs. He had lots of toys and a dog door to many potty time easy! Mark also sent me pictures of my puppy every once in while, which made me feel so comfortable! I think he might have sensed I was nervous about leaving him (it was our first time going away) so the pictures made me feel reassured and at ease. Our 3-month old looked like he had a wonderful time! Mark took him on walks and he had lots of play time with Mark's two daughters. I would definitely recommend Mark and would book with him again!
