Pet care experience
Hello! Your pup's quality of life while you are away is of utmost importance to me, and I would be excited to lend a hand - and some walking legs - while you get away on a weekend trip. I am currently available over weekends as caretaker for cats, dogs and pups of all ages, and I am also a responsible and well established house-sitter. I am certified in Pet CPR & First Aid and have worked with paraplegic dogs and those with differing abilities, including providing end-of-life care for elderly dogs who are in transition. Because I am petite, if you have a large dog who pulls on the leash or jumps, I might not be the best fit, but I do have several four-legged friends who are much larger than me! I can walk smaller dogs who pull with no problem. I work to demonstrate compassion, patience, and understanding to our fuzzy friends. I will give your pup my undivided attention or offer whatever support they need. I do not leave pets unattended outdoors and keep them within eyesight while outdoors and often while in the house. In the six years I have worked with dogs in the Seattle area (17 years total including elsewhere) I have not lost a pet or had anyone run away while in my care. I'm truly there to keep them company and make sure their needs are met.

A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on walks, and if they are comfortable in cars, can take them to nearby parks or just a longer jaunt around the neighborhood. I also like to play mentally stimulating games, and puzzles with dogs, including some light training reinforcement, or whatever your dog seems to enjoy best, including snuggles.

Availability
I am currently available full-time over the weekends, starting Friday afternoons after 6 p.m. I can also offer support by request on weekdays for drop-ins or walks in early morning or evening. For clients established prior to 2020, I am available for on-going support as previously provided for walks and house-sitting.
