We have used rover a few times when on vacation and the sitters I have had so far have all been great. Unfortunately the sitters we have used in the past were unavailable during our last vacation so we tried someone new. On the day we did a meet and greet she mentioned that she had just found fleas on her cat so she was bombing her house that day as a precaution. She said she didn't find any on her dog and didn't notice them in her house so I took her word that she had caught it early and dealt with it. As a precaution I reapplied revolution flea preventative to my dogs a little sooner than normal before dropping them off. Well my husband picked up the dogs and when I got home from work noticed my golden just going to town biting himself and scratching. I inspected him and his whole belly was red dots and his legs had scabs and some areas bald from chewing at these fleas. I found fleas on him dead and alive so I checked my other dog (they both went to her house for a week) and sure enough more fleas. Marissa never said anything about our golden being itchy or chewing on himself/open wounds/scabs he had inflicted because he must have some kinda allergy to the fleas. She didn't warn me or my hubby that she had indeed given them fleas during her stay. If she hadn't realized my dog was itching like crazy and biting himself maybe she wasn't paying much attention to them? And if she did why didn't she say anything or try to fix it? For the $330 I paid for her to watch my 2 dogs I expected more.

Great with animals but especially dogs. She has had dogs her entire life and they respond very well to her demeanor. Always comfortable leaving my furry family members with her.
