Your dog will be part of our family

Pet care experience

I am an avid dog/animal lover. I have two dogs of my own and have fosters dozens of dogs over the years while volunteering with an animal rescue organization. I am experienced in dog care, feeding, bathing, medication administration etc. I would love the opportunity to meet your pet! I live in a great neighborhood, Queens Lake, and have plenty of areas to walk and explore with your pet. In my home I have three extra bedrooms upstairs to use for my house guests in order for them to have their own personal space while I may be out on an errand or while sleeping. My personal dogs sleep/rest in the den when I am away separated with a extra tall baby gate. We have a fenced in backyard with deck, perfect for lounging around outside and watching the birds. We are able to walk around the neighborhood or to nearby New Quarter Park. About this sitter: I am an avid dog lover with years of experience with my own dogs and dozens of foster dogs. I am willing to come to your home or keep your pet in my own home to feed, play, walk, keep company, and take your pup on potty breaks while you are away! I know the feeling of wanting to make sure your pets are in good hands and know that I am able to provide that comfort for you. I treat my pets as part of the family and will do the same with yours. I have experience with my own dogs and have had dozens of fosters, adults, seniors, puppies, newborns, momma dogs, and sizes and breeds. Why I love dog sitting I have been an avid dog lover all my life. My family has always had between 2 and 6 dogs at all times. I currently have two dogs of my own and am an experienced foster! Meet my pets I have a 12 yo male Lab mix named Brewster whom I've had since he was 3 weeks old. Someone left him at a truck stop and my dad brought him home to me and he's been my Baby Brew ever since! I also have a 9.5 yo female Terrier mix named Isabelle whom I rescued from a high kill shelter in Liberty County, Georgia while living in the area. Brewster and Isabelle are best friends and gladly accept other dogs into their home. They are pretty laid back once everyone settles in, Brewster is always the greeter and Isabelle takes her time to let the new dog settle in before meeting so everyone is calm and can be properly introduced. I believe in setting the dogs up for success and not just throwing them in all together right away. I let the new dog get used to things for a bit and then introduce one dog at a time, this creates a happy environment and friendship in my home. About my yard I have a fenced in grassy backyard with plenty of space for running and playing My experience administering medication Yes, I have to give my dog medication daily as well. I am comfortable giving pills, powders, and shots.

Cooper enjoyed his stay with Marissa. He had awesome time with her. He had plenty of walks and play time with her other dogs. She’s easy to communicate with and sends us update from time to time. Our dog doesn’t usually eat when he’s on vacation but she made sure he ate well. Marissa really knows how to take care of dogs and treated our baby like her own.

Marissa Is an absolute gem! You can tell right away that she loves dogs and I knew our dog would be in good hands. Koa stayed for 2 weeks, and I was sent regular updates and pictures, which made us feel confident that he was enjoying his stay! She was very accommodating to our schedule for pick up and drop off and was very easy to communicate with. Her home is ideally situated for walks, time in a fenced back yard and lots of love while inside the house. He was treated like one of the family! If you need someone in the Williamsburg area look no further!

Information Marissa T. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preferences, just that they are small and get along with other dogs. My two dogs are larger and do well with small dogs in their home.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I live in a great area with a lot of walking space and trails at the nearby park. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Where he/she prefers to sleep, whether it be in their own bed, or crate. Time I'll spend with your dog I do work during the week at an elementary school so I am gone for approx. 8 hours, I normally get up in the morning and give everyone playtime in the yard and morning walks before leaving for work. I will spend time in the evenings and on the weekends as well.
