Hi! My name is Marissa and dogs are my passion. I have been pet sitting for 15 years and I have worked in a daycare/boarding facility and am currently doing dog training as a side job. I have training in pet first aid as well as pet CPR and I am comfortable giving medications. I promise you wont go wrong choosing me. I have the experience and the love to prove it! I am happy to provide references as well. I do have a 7 year old dog, so if I stay at your home she needs to come with me. However she gets along great with other dogs and is a perfect house guest! Why I love pet sitting: I have always loved animals. We didnt get a family dog until I was in about 8th grade, but I had wanted one long before that and we had cats while I was growing up. When I was a sophomore in college I started working at a dog daycare/boarding facility. I ended up adopting a dog that was a foster there. He became my world. We started dog training and I ended up working for the training company. It has been so much fun getting to know different breeds and personalities and dog sitting gives me the opportunity to do that! My experience administering medication: I administered oral medications regularly at the boarding facility and have lots of practice with my dog. I have also had to give injections so as long as you show me any tricks you use, I’m happy to do that as well. Other: I am also a dog trainer, so if you are looking for some help with your dog, let’s chat! Boarding: I will be fairly picky with the clients I allow in my home. I do have a balcony and the door stays cracked so the dogs have access to go out and sunbathe or emergency potty. Since I have a dog, I won’t be able to take dogs that free feed. I’m home with the dogs on the weekends or am taking them out for long adventures. I do work close to home and have pet cameras so if there is an emergency while I’m gone I can get back in 10 minutes!
