Exp. Sitter/Veterinary Assistant

Pet care experience

UPDATED: 9/4/23 RAINING CATS&DOGS Petsitting services in Seattle and surrounding areas. Hello, my name is Marissa! I have been a pet sitter with Rover since May 2019. 😸 Please, feel free to read through my profile and reach out to me with any questions you may have. I’m excited to connect with you and your pets! I am very comfortable with animals of all ages, sizes and training level. During my time with Rover, I have sat dogs and cats from ages 2 months to 20 years old ranging from a single night to over a month of care. I have the ability to train dogs basic obedience as well as potty train. I can also provide basic domestic animal first aid, special need requests, senior care and administrate medication to cats and dogs! I am currently a Veterinary Assistant in Seattle, WA. My plan is to become certified as a vet technician and use my education to be able to provide better service for my clients that need extra TLC. ❤️ Drop ins will include a short 15-20 minute walk/potty break in addition to feeding/play! House sitting/dog boarding includes custom care throughout the day according to your pet + overnight! Additional details can be discussed at the time of our meet and greet. At this time, the option to virtually meet is possible! Boarding not available for cats. All boarding clients MUST be vaccinated, and family friendly. A little about me; I grew up with various pets of my own responsibility ranging from small rodents to equine. I currently have my dog Luna, 2 cats Draco and Little Dipper, and Blue Tongue Skink Orochimaru. In addition to my job with Rover, I am also a Starbucks Partner. Please leave a review no matter your experience! I would love to know what you liked and/or how I can improve! It will help me greatly! My photos most feature Luna, Draco, Dippy and occasionally Siva ( Luna’s half sister! ) . Thank you for taking time to read through my profile. Looking forward to meeting you and your animals. :) I have pledged to donate 3% of my proceeds to the Seattle Humane Society! 🐾 Hoping to increase that percentage!!

Marissa, thank you for always going above and beyond! Despite all the different meds that our little guy needs, we always know he’s in good hands with you!

Information Marissa S. would like to know about your pet

Please fill your pet’s care sheets as much possible, with instructions on feeding, a couple things he or she likes to do and any medical needs that are required. It will make everything easy to reference, and help insure the safety and happiness of the pets! Everyone must have their own custom profiles so I can get to know your animal. I have no breed preferences. All shapes, sizes and personalities are welcome. :)

A typical day

My goal is to make your time away from your precious pets as stress free as possible. My plan is to stay as connected with the owner as much as wanted. Housesitting includes at least one morning update, with a photo! Please let me know if you would like to have an additional update in the afternoon, and/or evening. Walks will take place around the surrounding neighborhood near the home unless requested/approved by the owner to be at parks within driving distance. Client Dogs are offered a 20 minute morning or evening walk. Please make sure your dog has a collar with an ID tag if they will be expected to leave the property during our stay! Leash required to leave the yard! Dogs boarding at my home are required to be "family" friendly, meaning comfortable with people, other pets and possibly left alone for up to 4 hours. My cats will most likely avoid any boarders so it should not be a problem if said dog is not fully cat friendly, as long as all animals are able to be calm. Unfortunately, due to my kitties, cats are not accepted. Dogs are required to meet Luna in our front yard before the book can be accepted, unless they have already had a stay with me. (As said in the “About Me” section) Drop ins will include a short 10 - 15 minute walk/potty break in addition to feeding and playtime! House sitting/boarding includes custom care throughout the day and overnight!
