I have in-depth experience in animal care (cats, dogs, birds), dog walking, pet sitting, handling, training, and medicating (SubQ Injections, Intramuscular injections, liquid medication, pills, etc.). I graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Zoology, so animal care is my #1 passion! My animal care knowledge and experience comes from not just a degree, but also: working at an emergency animal hospital, animal shelter, San Diego Safari Park (Elephant Team) and dog rehabilition center. Along with this, I have also professionally house-sat and walked all types of pets for 10 years through the use of various animal care websites and apps, starting from my high-school years to present day. My unique experience and skill-set have allowed me to deal with the most shy shut-down pups, and the big goofy rambunctious ones. I love them both, and all those in-between. Due to this ongoing experience, I have gained knowledge in working with behavioral challenges (separation-anxiety, resource guarding, shy/shutdown tendencies, and slight aggression that follows these behaviors), dietary restrictions, ill dogs, ill cats, senior pups, etc. My dedication to this field shines through in my work, and I'm so excited for you and your pets to get to experience it! What to expect: *A prompt check-in as discussed in our meet and greet. *A smooth application of your pup's or cat's daily routine to keep him/her at ease while you are away. *Proper and timely administration of medication as needed. *Park walks and mini adventures to give your pups the opportunity to burn energy while you are away. *Upkeep of any training/good behaviors you are currently working on. *At least 1 update a day unless otherwise discussed. *A tidy house, so you won't even realize I was there!
