Pet care experience
First of all, I love dogs (and cats)! Beyond my personal experience in pet ownership (my entire life), I have pet sit for families in California and in Washington, D.C. I also spent a year volunteering for an animal shelter, where I helped to feed dogs/cats, clean their kennels and take them out to walk and socialize. I feel at ease around animals, and they seem to feel at ease around me. Happy to feed, play, cuddle, wash, and walk your dog as needed! My routine for pet care varies by the demands of the pet owner, but I am flexible and am happy to do things in a particular order if requested. I am friendly, responsible, considerate and very communicative. I respond to initial requests usually within a few hours. Please feel free to ask me any additional questions you may have. Let's talk!

Marissa is the absolute best and was so wonderful with my cat. She kept me informed of how he was doing with daily messages and pictures. He seemed to love her instantly and was very happy while I was gone. My apartment was also spotless when I came back! I highly recommend her and would trust her with any pet.
Marissa was terrific. She is incredibly comfortable around dogs and is highly responsible. Our trip was worry free.

I aim to follow your pet's normal routine but love taking them out for fun walks in nice neighborhoods and parks. Always happy to play and cuddle with them at home as well!

I work Mon-Fri (9-5, etc.) and go into the office 2 days a week (Tues & Wed). Otherwise I’m home and your pet will get all the attention they need!
