EMT waiting to meet your DOG 🐾

Pet care experience

I’ve had a dog in my family ever since I was little. At 16, I got my own puppy, her name was Lexi. She lived a full and happy life until she was almost 16 years old, then had to be put to rest because of declining health that took away her quality of life. I have a rescue cat, she has been by my side from the age of 8 weeks till now (she just turned 10 on Valentine’s Day) and she’s my best bud. I have been professionally dog sitting/house sitting for over ten years. My last clients had two dogs (one blind with special needs), and my client before had 3 large dogs, 1 parrot, and a house to watch after. I love animals and enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. I am an EMT, training to be a paramedic. My schedule constantly changes but I am able and willing to get up early, or do late night stop bys to take care of animals on days I work. Days I’m off, I’m all yours! Unfortunately right now due to my new kitten, I am not providing boarding in my house or doggy day care. I am available for sitting in my clients home. When we do our meet & greet, we will go over what your looking for exactly in terms of me being at your house with your pet, to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible. If we do not do a meet & greet, I ask that your provide me with details such as where the key is to get in, where the animals food is kept, and anything else that you’d like for me to know.

Marissa came over for a drop-in visit for our brand new rescue, Max. We had used Marissa in the past with our dog, Shane, who passed away several months ago. We knew that Marissa would take good care of Max, but we weren't sure how Max was going to respond to her, as she had not met him yet. He did even better than we expected. She provided full details about the drop in visit and shared some pictures. She gave us peace of mind as we were a couple of hours from home. When we returned, Max was just fine. Thanks, again, Marissa! You are a treasure!

I always have an eye on your pet. I’m not one to plop down in front of the TV and never look up again. I like to know where the furbabies are at all times, and that they are happy and healthy!

Information Marissa M. would like to know about your pet

Important information: is your dog friendly? Do they scare easy? If we are approached by another animal (or another human!) will they be nervous and timid or happy and excited? Does your dog have any special needs? Does your dog do better on a collar/leash set up or better with the harness/leash?

A typical day

Love taking the dogs on walks down the street or to the park! Stanley Park is one of my favorites, as my father works there and I’ve been going there all my life. Car rides are also fun outings! Playing fetch in the yard.. lots of pets.. you name it!
