Pet care experience
I have always had dogs in my life and spent time when I was younger caring for neighbor and family pets. I currently live with three dogs (only one is my own though!), a cat and a few reptiles. Pet care takes up quite a bit of time but I always have more to give! I have experience caring for dogs at all stages of life, puppy to senior. My home has an enclosed backyard as well as plenty of space inside.

Could not be happier with the care Marissa and her partner gave our Aska. Communication was awesome! We got pictures and updates that eased our hearts and ensured us that Aska was having a BALL!! She made extra efforts to keep Aska engaged not only physically but mentally as well. I think Aska may have had more fun than we did on our vacation!! Highly recommend!!!
Marissa is a fantastic dog sitter based in Portland. I had a family emergency and she was able to help out on short notice and without any stress. It was so important to me to know that my great Dane, Zolo, was taken care of, as I had had a bad experience with her care previously. Marissa is wonderful and I will always come to her when I need care for my pup.
Marissa is amazing. My 7 year old pup loves staying with her during our weekends away. She goes above and beyond with my dog, keeping him happy and safe and of course feeling loved! Would highly recommend!
Marissa is amazing at caring for animals. She is my go to person when it comes to dog care. My dog has a lot of anxiety and she is always incredibly patient with him as he settles in to staying with her. She’s ver6 communicative and will keep you updated with adorable photos of your pet living their best life daily. 10/10 will always recommend

Your pet will have access to a fully fenced yard, the top floor, part of the ground floor and my own dog (an older, well mannered golden) for them to socialize with as well as a dog friendly cat. They will be fed in their own separate room where their crate is also located. The other two dogs living here are kept separate from boarding dogs at all times to keep everyone calm and comfy! They have their own gated room in the house. I am able to groom, play with and rest with your pet! I have an easy going, laid back household.

I require a four hour trial at my house before boarding more than one night. This is to ensure your dog will have the best possible time with me and everyone will be safe. I would like to know if your dog has any special needs or allergies, specific commands they've been trained with, if they get along with other dogs/cats, if they enjoy walks or if they are on the more laid back side. I do not accept boarders with any kind of reactivity or aggression and only take one boarder at a time. Please bring! - food, food bowls - blanket - any necessary medication
A typical day
I have a good sized backyard for play and outside time and take walks around the neighborhood. I will not go to dog parks. A typical day with me will have lots of backyard trips, a walk, playtime with me or my dog depending on what your pet is interested in, naps, puzzle toys and lots of pets!
