Active, Caring, and Responsible!
Pet care experience
I primarily started dog sitting for some extra cash about 6 years ago when I was in nursing school. I am a current registered nurse in Boston who loves animals and uses dog sitting and walking as sort of a meditative part of my balanced life. I used to have two cocker spaniels of my own who you see pictured in my profile and am now currently living with a golden retriever who I take care of part time as he is my roommate's dog. I have always enjoyed a dog's company and they tend to be the best part of my day! I am very active and love the outdoors, so playing outside and dog walking adventures are enjoyable for me. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
Reviews
Marissa took amazing care of our cat, Callie, while we were away on vacation. She was flexible, responsive, sent pictures and updates, and even cleaned up and took out the trash. We met Marissa before we left so she could meet Callie, and she was incredibly friendly and trustworthy. Don't hesitate to book to Marissa, we hope she is available to take care of our cat again in the future!
Marissa is responsible and reliable and will take care of your puppy as if it was her own!! She has been helping me take care of my dogs for several years. My dog, Sophie, loves her!!

I am all about what my customer's prefer as far as caring preferences. I understand the fear of leaving your loved one with someone you may not know very well so I treat every pet as though they are my own. I will respect your rules and conditions and I will honor your preferences as you wish, after all, your pets are your babies and I totally understand that. Fun fact; I once learned Russian for a dog sitting job and was able to carry out Russian commands for the dog to understand when caring for him. I am not kidding when I tell you I am willing to go above and beyond for you and your fur babies, it is my happy time and I enjoy every second of it.
Information Marissa L. would like to know about your pet
It is is important to know all allergies and special preferences specific to your dog's needs prior to me coming to sit or walk for your dog. I say this only because this can help me to prepare in order to provide the best experience for you and your pups.
A typical day
I love to walk very regularly, and I find that exercise is healthy for not only humans but dogs as well! If you and your dog would allow I do also have the ability to train your dog to any game of fetch and my patience has always been able to aid me into allowing your dog to learn while playing. After four years of not knowing how, I taught our golden retriever to place the ball in my hand versus holding onto the ball and not giving it back to play a productive game of fetch.

Availability
I work as a nurse three days a week but my schedule is very flexible and can potentially be adjusted to a customer's needs depending on the week and time I am needed.
